21-Yr-Old Man Builds Life-Sized Replica Of La Bi Xiao Xin’s House, Borrows S0K To Fund It

Ever wanted to stay at the home of La Bi Xiao Xin (aka Crayon Shin-chan)?

Well, it seems a 21-year-old man from China might soon make that dream come true for fans of the well-loved anime.

Zhejiang native Jiang came up with the brilliant idea to build a life-sized replica of Crayon Shin-chan’s home after graduating from university.

According to Chinese media, Jiang has always been fascinated by La Bi Xiao Xin and so he made sure to pay special attention to not only the exterior, but the interior.

Fans will recognise many familiar scenes from the cartoon, breathing a sense of nostalgia, prompting netizens to comment that they couldn’t wait to visit.

Jiang also bought an old car and remodeled it to look like the green vehicle in the anime.

Despite facing many challenges, he says his mum was his biggest supporter.

Thought she was initially doubtful – believing Doraemon to be more popular – she still gave him a sum of money to start the project.

Still, the ambitious replica had Jiang borrowing up to three million yuan (S$560K) which he hopes to pay with profits from the home, presumably from tourism.

Jiang is not just stopping at the house and car.

His goal is to recreate the entire Kasukabe town where Crayon Shin-chan lives, including the Futaba Kindergarten where he goes to school in a bid draw tourists and revitalise the rural area.

We can’t wait to visit.
