Prepare to be dazzled as the top 128 men’s and women’s singles players converge in a quest for glory at Singapore Smash 2024.
Last year’s champions Fan Zhendong and Sun Yingsha from China return to defend their men’s and women’s singles titles, respectively. Expect nail-biting showdowns as Fan battles fellow Chinese paddlers Wang Chuqin, the world No 2 and reigning WTT Finals men’s champion, along with Ma Long, who has held consecutive runner-up titles.
Said Fan: “I am very happy to participate once again in the Singapore Smash, which brings together the world’s top players. It is both a challenge and an expectation for me. The Singapore Sports Hub has been a lucky venue for me, having secured victories in the last two Smashes, so I hope this year I can perform just as well.”
In the women’s singles, Sun – who boasts a nine-match WTT winning streak – will face off against Olympic gold medalist and 2022 champion Chen Meng from China, as well as world No 5 and four-time WTT Series winner Hina Hayata from Japan.
