2-Year-Old Son Of Malaysian Influencer Couple Dies After Drowning In Hotel Room Pool

Last weekend (May 18), Malaysian influencer Jasmine Yong took to Instagram to share that her two-year-old son, Enzo, died from an unfortunate incident.

She wrote: “On Saturday (May 11), our family of three checked into a hotel to celebrate Mother’s Day. On Sunday, Enzo was lying on our hotel bed. He had, as usual, snuggled up with us as he drank his milk and fell asleep. We then took a nap, but realised Enzo was no longer on the bed with us when we woke up. We noticed that the locked door to the indoor pool was unlocked and open, and [we] found Enzo in the pool.”

Jasmine immediately performed CPR on Enzo, but he remained unresponsive. According to her, the hotel had poor reception, and they were unable to call for an ambulance.

Enzo’s dad, influencer Kvin Wang, quickly left their room to seek help, but did not manage to find anyone. The couple then carried Enzo to the lobby, where they got hotel staff to assist them in calling an ambulance.

At the hospital, Enzo underwent 30 minutes of emergency resuscitation. He regained his heartbeat, but remained in an unconscious state.

In the six days that Enzo spent in the hospital fighting for his life, Jasmine urged her followers to pray for him, and asked that they help to “call out for his return”.

Sadly, Enzo’s heart stopped beating on the afternoon of May 17.

In her post, Jasmine also urged the media to avoid reporting about the accident in an exaggerated manner, and for the public to not trust any rumours.

“Please allow Enzo to leave peacefully, thank you,” she added.

Jasmine also shared pictures of the offerings they prepared for Enzo, including a picture she drew of their family. Their loved ones also gathered to release balloons into the sky as a final farewell to Enzo.
