Indonesian Man Discovers Wife, Whom He Married After A Year, Is A Cross-Dressing Man

They say you never fully know the person sleeping next to you, and that couldn’t be truer for this Indonesian man, who only discovered his ‘wife’s’ true gender 12 days after they got hitched.

Recently, it was reported that the 26-year-old man, known only as AK, had been dating a ‘woman’, Adinda Kanza, for a year before they decided to tie the knot.

AK, who’s from Naringgul in Java, Indonesia, met Adinda, also 26, on social media in 2023.

They quickly hit it off and soon arranged to meet in person.

From their first meeting, Adinda, who claimed to be a devout Muslim, wore a niqab (a full-face veil) to cover her head and face.

AK assumed it was her way of showing her religious devotion and had no issues with it.

The couple married in a modest ceremony at AK’s home in April this year and no one from Adinda’s side attended as she claimed to have no family members.

AK grew suspicious of his wife soon after their wedding as she refused to communicate with his family and would wear her niqab at home at all times.

Adinda also constantly avoided physical intimacy, claiming she was on her period or feeling unwell.

Sensing that something was amiss, AK decided to track down Adinda’s family address and found out she was not an orphan as she had claimed.

Adinda’s parents told AK that his ‘wife’ was, in fact, a man named ESH and he has been cross-dressing since 2020.

They were unaware of AK and his relationship with their son.

AK eventually filed a police report against ESH.

According to the New Straits Times, ESH later admitted to the police that he married AK to steal his family assets.

The police noted that ESH was able to carry on the sham for over a year as he looked like a woman when he had makeup on, and has a gentle, high-pitched voice.

ESH has since been arrested, and is said to be facing fraud charges that could land him behind bars for up to four years.
