Things To Note About Credit Card Sign-Up Promotions
Most banks do not allow you to stack rewards. This means that if you choose to sign up through SingSaver, for example, you will only qualify for SingSaver’s rewards and not the bank’s.
Most of the time, SingSaver and Moneysmart offer better rewards than sign-up gifts when you sign up directly on the bank’s website.
So make sure you pick carefully!
Regarding rewards from third parties like SingSaver or Moneysmart, you’ll also need to read the terms and conditions for your particular card if you want to qualify for welcome rewards.
How Do I Qualify For Sign-Up Rewards?
Once you’ve decided on a card and the sign-up gift, make sure that you are applying through the respective website.
For example, if I want the Apple iPad that comes with the OCBC 365 Credit Card, I would click “Apply Now” in the table above, which will take me to the SingSaver application page.
From there, all you have to do is follow the steps and take note of your Application Reference Number (ARN) once you have completed the signup. You’ll need to provide SingSaver with the ARN, have a successful application and meet the minimum spending requirement to qualify for the gift.
