Elly later shared more pics on Threads, including snaps with mum, who was also elegantly dressed in a black off-shoulder gown.
“I thought I would be super happy that I’d graduated, but I ended up crying,” wrote Elly.
Netizens were full of praise for Elly, with many saying she is “prettier than mum”.
“She completely outshines her mum,” commented a netizen, while another said: “Mum is already beautiful, but the daughter is even more stunning.”
A netizen claiming to be a neighbour who has known Elly since she was young wrote: “It feels so amazing. This girl used to climb all over [cafe] Dante Coffee and pull her mum’s hair as if it were a toy. She’s now tall and elegant, truly a fine young lady.”
She‘s got the smarts too.
According to Taiwanese media, Elly has been accepted to both University of Southern California and University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), and will begin her studies in the US in September.
Dee and her 51-year-old husband Mike also have two other daughters, Lily, 16, who is said to be the prettiest of the girls, and 12-year-old Alice, who is known for her sassy personality.
