In 2022, Chinese-Canadian singer Kris Wu was found guilty of rape and ‘group lewdness’ and sentenced to 13 years in jail. Till date, the disgraced star has served almost three years of time.
It was recently reported that Kris’ mum is intending to sell his Brabus G800 for extra cash. It is said that she has listed the luxury German car for 6mil yuan (S$1.12mil).
Due to his crimes and tainted reputation, Kris’ name has been banned on Chinese social media platforms. As such, the online listing of the Brabus G800 belongs to a “certain Fan” — the ‘Fan’ derived from his Chinese name, Wu Yifan.
In the description, a sentence also reads: “A certain Fan’s car. Yes, it’s him.” The car agency also responded to queries about the blue Brabus, admitting that it was indeed Kris’ mum selling it.
One person brought up how Kris’ Brabus is orange but was quickly told by the seller that that car was “driven by him in Vancouver, and it belonged to someone else”.
The listing piqued the curiosity of the internet, with many wondering about the current value of a Brabus G800.
In 2020, only nine Brabus G800 cars were imported to Taiwan, with one selling upwards of NT15.3mil (S$640K).
On the Brabus site, the black and gold edition of the Brabus 800 is listed at 500,633 Euros (S$730K) brand-new.
Including the modifications, the car was estimated to have cost Kris at least S$666K.
