Next time you’re watching new Mediacorp drama Furever Yours and you hear a dog barking, that might actually be Cheryl Chou.
Yesterday (Jul 7), the 28-year-old Mediacorp actress shared on TikTok a video titled: “POV: You’re an actress in a new TV show about dogs but you don’t know if you were cast as the human or dog.”
The first frame of the video showed the crew filming in a room while a dog could be heard barking in the background.
But here’s the twist.
As the video panned upwards, we soon realise the barks come from… Miss Universe Singapore 2016 Cheryl.
She continued to howl and bark into a microphone for a good few seconds while her co-star Paige Chua tried to hold in her laughter.
“15 years of dog ownership has trained me for this moment,” she quipped in her caption.
Netizens had nothing but paw-sitive comments about Cheryl’s performance.
“My dog got up from her nap and started looking around while I was watching this,” gushed one netizen while another, who saw a similar reaction from her pup wrote: “You’re a certified dog now.”
Cheryl’s response to those remarks? “*Adds speaks dog to my list of fluent languages*,” she joked.
Now we know Cheryl, who went to university in Hong Kong, can speak English, Mandarin, Cantonese, and Dog.
