Bring on the Bay open water swim for Easter Seals, now in its 17th year, attracted more than 800 swimmers on Saturday.
Participants swam either a three-kilometre course from Nepean Sailing Club to Britannia Yacht Club or a 1.5-kilometre course that started at Britannia Beach.
Among the swimmers were Anne Griffith and her daughter Amelia, 3 1/2. Amelia was born paralyzed from the chest down so Anne towed her in a specially outfitted raft. The pair raised more than $12,000 for Easter Seals, which provides support for children with disabilities and their families.
