Comments left on the post from other people further alleged that Yaodong had been in relationships with other women while in a committed relationship, that he has two children from his longtime girlfriend and that he had got other women pregnant.
Mediacorp released a statement on Jul 5, saying they were “unable to comment on artistes’ personal matters.”
The woman made another post on Jul 14, this time claiming that she met Yaodong at an event in 2019 and that they had gone to a club afterwards where he forced her to drink and then had non-consensual sex with her when she was drunk.
Two days later, she posted to say that she didn’t make a police report at the time as she was neither Malaysian nor Singaporean and that she wasn’t aware of local celebrities’ private lives.
She posted a few more photos on Jul 18, allegedly of Yaodong. All the posts have since been removed.
Yaodong, who was initially cast in the Mediacorp drama Emerald Hill, is no longer on the show, with his role now being played by Elvin Ng. This led to speculation earlier this month that he was recast because of the scandal.
Mediacorp clarified that the actor was “unable to commit to the production of Emerald Hill because of scheduling conflicts”.
