We knew Taiwanese singer-actor Liu Genghong has been raking in big bucks ever since he started his fitness live streaming business in China, but we didn’t realise he was doing this well.
Last year, it was reported that the 51-year-old, who turned to fitness live streaming with his 45-year-old Taiwanese actress wife Vivi Wang during the COVID19 lockdown, was so popular in China, his asking price for a 20-second video was 600K yuan (S$114K).
It was later revealed that Genghong and his wife as well as their three kids — son Ian, 13, and daughters Yu Fu, 11, and Yu Shan, nine — had recently moved into a villa in Suzhou’s Kunshan city.
The houses in that area are said to cost 8mil yuan (S$1.5mil) each. Wait, isn’t that a steal in Singapore standards? Especially when a 5-room HDB flat at Margaret Drive can cost $1.7mil.
In a subsequent interview, the star shared that his wife is very particular about the environment they live in, and is especially happy about the number of parks in their estate. A number she said is “beyond [her] imagination”.
The area also has an international school, a hospital, and even an outlet of his good pal Jay Chou’s milk tea brand, J-tea.
38 units have been occupied as of now, and it’s said that 10 other celebrities are looking to move into the area as well.
Genghong, who lived in Shanghai previously, even created a large space for his fitness live streams within their estate, and named it “Geng’s training village”.
Look who’s officially living the high-SES life now.
