The mother of Mediacorp actor Chen Hanwei has died at the age of 90.
On Sat (Jul 27), the 54-year-old actor took to his Instagram to share that his beloved mother had passed on.
“If there are phones in heaven, I really wish I could continue calling you twice a day to chat with you like how I used to,” he wrote. “Mum, I really want to hear your voice, I really miss you so much.”
According to reports, Hanwei’s mum’s wake will be held at the Nirvana Memorial Center in Johor Bahru until Jul. 30. Her body will be cremated on the 31st.
Just two months ago, the actor shared photos of him giving his mother a pedicure on Mother’s Day.
“When I was young, my mum would cut my nails for me. Now that I’m grown up, let me do it for you, Mum,” he wrote at that time.
“I only wish for my mum to be healthy, safe, happy and to live a long life. Mum, happy Mother’s Day, I love you,” he added.
