2. Please Don’t Tell (PDT)

With the recent announcement that American speakeasy bar Please Don’t Tell (PDT) at the Landmark Mandarin Oriental hotel will be closing permanently this October, it is a good reminder to dial back in for a solid drink or two and some of its signature hotdogs and tater tots.

On Sunday the bar will host another session of its PDT Sunday School, featuring spirits connoisseur and educator Eddie Nara, who will be showing drinkers the ins and outs of Wild Turkey bourbon whisky.

3. Chef Nate Green at Sonny’s

It will not be your typical Sunday breakfast on August 4 at Sonny’s. Chef Nate Green – previously of Rex – has collaborated on a pizza that is based on an English fry-up.

The pizza has a base of baked beans, and is topped with quintessential breakfast elements such as bacon, sausage and mushrooms, all sprinkled with cheese.

4. Yakiniku Horumon Matchan

In the spirit of the Olympics, add this new yakiniku restaurant from Nara, Japan, to your must-eat list. It is known for its muscled staff and unique pull-up challenge that earns diners free meat servings – the more pull-ups you can do, the more premium the cut of meat.

5. Colour Brown x Kowloon Flour Mills

This is the last weekend to check out the Kowloon Flour Mills Experience Centre at Colour Brown in Sham Shui Po, which has been displaying the flour mill’s paraphernalia and hosting workshops.
