Hong Kong stars Daniel Wu and Stephen Fung got fans all excited last week when they posted Instagram photos together at New York Fashion Week.
The pals, both 50, were photographed looking dapper in suits alongside stars like Chinese actress Liu Shishi and Zhu Zhu at the Ralph Lauren show.
Netizens commented that the snaps reminded them of Daniel and Stephen’s 1998 film Bishonen and hoped to see them working together again.
Stephen and Daniel last teamed up on American drama Into the Badlands, which ran for three seasons from 2015 to 2019, as director and actor respectively.
A couple of days later, Daniel posted two IG pics of them with their other Bishonen co-star Shu Qi who became Mrs Stephen Fung in 2016.
Daniel noted that the throwback pic, which features Shu Qi sitting in the middle, while Stephen bends forward over her chair and Daniel kneeling on one knee, was taken when they were promoting Bishonen.
The other photo, which shows them recreating the throwback pic, was taken just this summer.
“Other than a few grey hairs and the fact that the two on the left are now married, not much has changed — it’s pretty amazing,” wrote Daniel.
Fans were surprised by how the ever-youthful Shu Qi, now 48, seemed to have “aged in reverse”.
But what got us giggling was Stephen’s “brutal” comment to Daniel: “Can you crop yourself out pls (sic)?”
Nobody likes a third wheel, right?
