Helper Standing With Primary School Latecomers During S’pore National Anthem Praised For Being Respectful

How many of us remember being denied entry into school for being late for morning assembly?

In a clip posted to social media, it seems one student decided to skip waiting and allegedly got their helper to stand with the other tardy students until the gates opened.

The helper, dressed in yellow and blue, was even seen patiently waiting for the national anthem to finish playing.

Or could she be internally rolling her eyes that at her age, she still needed to stand with the latecomers at a school?

Netizens quickly took to the comments with many praising the helper for being “respectful” during the national anthem.

One even cheekily commented, “Clap for her!” while another jokingly asked that she be made eligible to be a permanent resident (PR) or be granted citizenship for her mindfulness.

Of course, some sharp-eyed netizens also felt something amiss and questioned, “Wait, where is the kid?”

A few weren’t impressed after being made to realise that the student possibly decided not to wait it out.

“She (the helper) will also attend detention after school,” read one comment.
