Woman Says It’s Heartwarming Singaporeans Wait For Wheelchair User To Board Bus First

Over the years, social media has become a place where many take to voice out their complaints, or post about unpleasant incidents they’ve encountered.

Amidst all the negativity, it’s nice to see people share the wholesome sights they’ve come across in their daily lives.

Xiaohongshu user Clara recently posted a video, in which a group of passengers patiently wait for their turn to board a bus as the driver helps a wheelchair-bound passenger get on the vehicle via a ramp at the rear door.

Clara wrote: “All the passengers are waiting for one person. These are the moments when Singapore really moves me.”

As the video progresses, she added: “The boarding doors have yet to open. The driver is probably helping the wheelchair user fix the wheelchair in place first.”

We’ve actually seen this scenario happen many times in real life, where passengers, us included, wait for wheelchair users or other people with disabilities to board the bus first.

It’s not something we think much of and we wouldn’t exactly consider it a particularly moving act either.

But we think it’s these small everyday actions that make us Singaporeans a pretty okay bunch after all.
