S’pore Influencer’s Proposal Video Ruined By Photog Talking And Shouting Instructions

Imagine planning a romantic proposal and spending thousands of dollars to have it caught on camera, only to have it ruined by the person you hired to do it.

That’s what happened to local influencer Julynn Lau and her fiancé, Benjamin.

Benjamin had planned a beachside proposal, complete with a drone show that spelled out the words ‘Marry Me’.

Posting an unedited clip from the night, Julynn wrote: “POV: your photographer thinks she’s the main character of the proposal and missed the most important part of the engagement.”

The video started with Julynn and Benjamin gazing into the sky, where the drones presumably were. We say presumably as the drone show wasn’t captured in the clip.

The photographer then could be heard interrupting the moment by shouting at Ben: “You can just kneel down already, kneel down.”

According to Julynn, the photog interrupted Ben’s speech when she told him to “just do it”, and later, paused the proposal to tell Julynn to move her hair out of her face.

Um, was she hired to film the proposal or to direct it?

When Ben got down on one knee, the photog could be heard discussing camera angles with her crew in the background.

And as Ben popped the all-important question, a male voice could be heard saying “wide shot wide shot wide shot!”.

“Why are they talking over him at this point?! They are louder than us,” lamented Julynn, who added that she had to add her own voiceover to the video because of all their talking.

Julynn also revealed that Benjamin had spent over $4K on hiring the team to film the proposal.

Though Julynn did not reveal who the photog was, according to one comment, the company in charge of the shoot is well-known locally, and has been featured in multiple publications, radio shows, as well as on TV.

Many netizens felt pissed off for Julynn, with one saying that the photog literally failed at the one job she was hired to do.

Well, at least Julynn and Benjamin now have a story about their proposal to tell their grandkids.
