While most laundromats hawk their services and promotions on social media, Lagoon Laundry in Katong V mall caught our attention with their interesting concept featuring live recordings of aspiring DJs while doing their washables.
The initiative was started in March this year, and since then, has featured a number of budding DJs who are all too willing to have a chance at the turntable.
According to their social media, selected jocks with their own thumb drives of music are allowed to do their laundry for free.
Wait a minute, don’t they have their own washing machines at home?
But we are guessing the free exposure and complimentary laundry service is quite a draw.
Lagoon Laundry also features items the jocks brought in to be washed. For example, one of the DJs was seen making use of the free service for his underwear.
Netizens were tickled by the concept with at least one asking, “Help me wash my clothes?”
And before you think this is just some fancy setup with washing machines and ironing boards as props, Lagoon Laundry is a proper laundromat business offering a full suite of cleaning services.
We wonder if customers will be allowed to enjoy the beats while waiting for their laundry.
