We’ve seen plenty of interesting inventions of late, but few have managed to impress us as much as this.
A man from China has created a remote-controlled moving bed by attaching a metal frame to four caterpillar tracks.
An online video sees him chilling comfortably on his invention, complete with a mattress, pillows, a blanket, and a drink in his hand.
Here’s the super cool part about it. The bed can go up and down stairs, traverse across bumpy land, and even travel up the steep incline of a hill.
Netizens were amused by what they saw, with some saying that the bed would be perfect for those who’ve reached “peak levels of laziness”.
Others also joked about how they would “never need an ambulance to get to the hospital ever again”.
Some suggested ways the bed could be used in emergency situations.
“This would be great for mountain rescues. Injured parties can be transported down quickly, and the bed can even be used to deliver first-aid and resources without having rescuers carry the load!” read one excited comment.
In fact, the inventor of the bed also looks to have created a chair affixed to another mechanism, which allows the user to cruise up and down stairs with the push of a button.
Imagine how this technology could potentially be used to help wheelchair users get around places that aren’t accessible by ramps?
The man’s inventions may have stemmed from what some may believe is laziness, but it truly looks like he’s on to something genius here.
