Eric Chou Mistakes Passers-By Who Stopped Him For Fans, Turns Out They Wanted Him To Take Photos For Them

Have you ever met a celebrity but did not recognise them until it was too late?

A fan of Taiwanese singer Eric Chou did, and she’s kicking herself for being so blur.

Earlier this week, Eric’s older brother Alex, who is also a singer, shared on Threads an amusing incident that happened to them when they were out for dinner.

Just as they were leaving after their meal, a group called out to them: “Hey, handsome!”

As one uncle held out a phone in his hand, Alex thought they wanted a photo with Eric and Alex was “ready to take his phone to snap a picture for them”.

Turns out, they wanted Eric to take a photo for them and he graciously obliged, of course.

“I couldn’t help but wonder, how did this uncle know Eric’s so good at taking pictures? They really picked the right person hahaha,” wrote Alex.

In case you didn’t know, Eric has a keen interest in photography and would occasionally share his snaps on his socials.

Fans were equally amused by the incident.

While many were envious of the group, others couldn’t believe not one person in the group recognised Eric.

“He’s indeed an uncle. Only know they are handsome guys but have no idea who they are,” wrote one user, while another said: “In future, you must look carefully who you’re asking to take photos for you.”

Well, one member of the party sure learned her lesson.

The netizen later commented on Alex’s post, saying: “I’m part of that family. While everyone else takes photos with celebrities, our family asks the celebrity to take the photo for us! We should’ve gotten everyone together for a picture. Eric is so down-to-earth.”

When a user asked if they eventually got a photo with Eric, she replied: “No, pissed [about it].”
