A 66-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly murdering a 67-year-old woman in her flat at Block 125 Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6.
The Singapore Police Force (SPF) confirmed the incident in a statement released on 29 November.

Police Discover Body After Early Morning Distress Call
The police responded to a distress call at around 1:25 AM on 29 November. Upon arriving at the unit, they found the victim unresponsive. She was pronounced dead at the scene by attending officers.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim and the suspect were known to each other, although the exact nature of their relationship remains unclear.
Witness accounts suggest that the deceased, who owned the flat, had allowed the suspect, described as a homeless acquaintance, to stay in her home intermittently during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Longstanding Tensions in the Household
According to a friend of the deceased for over 20 years, the victim had taken in the suspect out of goodwill.
The friend told 8World News that their cohabitation was reportedly strained, with frequent disputes over money and alcohol.
Neighbours corroborated these claims, mentioning that loud arguments from the unit almost every day.
One neighbour noted an escalation in tensions last week when the victim barred the suspect from entering the flat. On the evening of the incident, another neighbour heard heavy footsteps from the unit around 11 PM, followed by silence.
The suspect was apprehended at the scene. He is set to be charged with murder under Section 302(1) of the Penal Code on 30 November.
If convicted, he could face the death penalty.
