38YO Got Violent After 68YO Woman Rejects His Kisses in a Hougang HDB Rooftop Garden
A 38-year-old man was sentenced to 11 weeks in jail on Friday (6 December) for causing grievous hurt to a 68-year-old woman.
The incident occurred on 3 January this year when the pair met up for drinks and music.
The status of their relationship is unknown.
After engaging in intimate activities at a rooftop garden, they went to the ground floor of Block 522 Hougang Avenue 6.
At 4:07 AM, during an argument that broke out after she rejected his advances for further intimacy, he pushed her to the ground.
It’s reported that earlier, at 4:01 AM, the man had also pushed the woman at a lift lobby at Block 521 Hougang Avenue 6.
The woman suffered multiple injuries, including a scalp hematoma, bruising on her left cheek, and a fractured left fifth rib. She was hospitalized at Changi General Hospital for 16 days.
The man pleaded guilty to one charge of voluntarily causing grievous hurt. A second charge of using criminal force was taken into consideration for sentencing.
For voluntarily causing grievous hurt, he could have been jailed for up to five years, fined up to $10,000, or both.
