Yesterday (Dec 11), ex-Mediacorp actress Sora Ma shared on Instagram that her husband had passed away six months ago.
The 40-year-old Malaysian actress and her businessman husband got hitched in 2021. She gave birth to their first child, Skye, in August, two months before her husband’s sudden passing.
According to Sora, her husband, who was said to be 48 years old, wasn’t sick and his death caught her “entirely off-guard”.
Many of Sora’s showbiz friends, including Christopher Lee, Chew Chor Meng, Rebecca Lim, left comments on her post to express their condolences.
Among the many comforting messages was one written by fellow Malaysian ex-Mediacorp actress Tracy Lee.
Tracy had unfortunately gone through a similar experience as Sora in 2019.
Tracy’s husband, Ben Goi, son of Singapore ‘Popiah King’ Sam Goi, died after suffering a stroke in Kuala Lumpur. He was 43.
The actress and Ben got married in 2017. Their son, Ben Junior, now six, was born in 2018.
On Sora’s heartbtreaking post, Tracy wrote: “Here for you. It’s not easy, but you can make it through this.” She also added three white heart emojis.
Tracy now manages her own business selling supplements as well as her maid agency, My Employment Agency. She is also part of Jack Neo’s live stream e-commerce team, Star Live.
