Have you ever wondered if there was a special technique our grandparents used to make dumplings or curry puffs?
Well, it seems there’s one method that’s leaving netizens in shock.
A 12-second video posted on Instagram shows a woman using a set of dentures to hold the dumpling skin before adding the filling.
She is also seen using the false teeth to press the dumpling tightly and create grooves at the edges before moving on to the next one.
Naturally, netizens had a field day in the comments, many expressing their disgust.
“Those dumplings are probably full of grandma’s taste,” one comment read, while another said they would probably “just watch them make the dumplings before I buy some.”
At least one netizen seemed to have experienced this and wrote, “My grandmother does this too.”
Yikes! This is a taste of home that not many people might be ready for.
