A short snippet of a rubbish collector in Negri Sembilan, Malaysia has taken flight on the internet.
In a Xiaohongshu video shared by user Xi Dao Yu (西刀鱼), the worker was seen going about his everyday task, emptying large trash bins into the back of a garbage truck.
When he turned around, it was revealed he had a pair of pink fairy wings strapped to his back.
“No matter how the job goes, Abang is insistent on not losing his sweet young heart,” wrote Xi Dao Yu.I
In an interview with Malaysian media WeirdKaya, Xi Dao Yu said they spotted the worker on Boxing Day and decided to film him as they “thought it was really cute”.
They also said they “didn’t expect the post to go viral”.
“Perhaps he picked up [the wings] in good condition and kept it thinking it would make a good gift for his kid,” suggested one netizen.
Another netizen also dubbed the man “the cleaning fairy”.
