Taiwanese Rocker Wu Bai Made To Look Like A “Scary Ghost Baby” On Screen During NYE Concert

Despite it being 2025, the use of AI technology is still raising eyebrows in the new year.

During Taiwanese rocker Wu Bai’s New Year’s Eve concert for Jiangsu Satellite TV in Macau, his image on the screen behind him dramatically changed as he moved, making him appear deformed.

At certain moments, the 56-year-old’s face turned chalk white, with his eyes darkened giving him the unsettling look of a ghostly child from a horror movie.

Wu Bai, along with his band China Blue, was one of the headliners, performing hits such as Norwegian Forest and You Are My Flower.

According to Jiangsu Satellite TV, they boasted that the concert would integrate technology and art using AI.

However, netizens were less than impressed, with some describing Wu Bai’s appearance as “scary and chilling” after the performance aired.

One user joked, “If I were Wu Bai, I’d be calling my lawyers ASAP,” while another asked if the singer needed help calling the police.

Some also laughed, saying Wu Bai had learned the art of face-changing from Sichuan Opera for the concert.
