It’s totally common for people to edit their pictures before posting on social media these days. But sometimes, they need to be a bit more realistic.
Recently, Hong Kong singer Gillian Chung, 44, found herself attacked by fat-shaming internet trolls again after videos of her looking less trim during her world tour went viral.
Then on Thursday (Jan 23), Gillian posted a series of new photos to celebrate her 44th birthday.
In the pics, Gillian looked like she had slimmed down drastically.
Netizens were quick to accuse the star of over-editing her pictures, with some noticing that the metal railing next to her in the photos appeared warped.
“Photoshopping is easier than losing weight,” mocked one netizen while another scoffed: “The railing and lights behind her are so unique because they are crooked”.
Fans of Gillian, however, declared that they would support her no matter her size.
“Fat or skinny, she’s the greatest natural beauty,” one wrote.
