Almost every Chinese New Year, Aaron Kwok, 59, would accompany his wife, Chinese influencer Moka Fang, 37, back to her hometown of Anhui, where her family lives, for the festivities.
This year was no different.
Videos of the Heavenly King’s visit, together with daughters Chantelle, seven, and Charlotte, five, have been making the rounds online, and let’s just say he got quite the rockstar welcome.
As soon as Aaron arrived at Moka’s family home, villagers gathered at the entrance, snapping photos of the star and watching in excitement.
Crowds followed wherever he went, and everyone seemed to want a piece of him.
Despite the commotion, Aaron remained friendly and approachable, waving to the crowd and greeting everyone warmly.
He also distributed ang pows and readily agreed to take photos with relatives.
A particularly amusing moment was captured when Aaron posed alongside his father-in-law, who is just two years older than him.
This sparked laughter among netizens, with comments such as, “The father-in-law must be thrilled, shaking Aaron’s hand and saying, ‘Good son-in-law, I grew up listening to your songs!’”
Another remarked: “Never in his wildest dreams did he think his daughter would marry Aaron Kwok— now he’s the Heavenly King’s father-in-law!”
Aside from visiting his in-laws, Aaron also made time to see Moka’s relatives.
One netizen, who appeared to be Moka’s relative, commented: “Aaron Kwok is really good. Every year, he accompanies his wife back home for Chinese New Year and would visit our circle of friends.”
