Singapore Did Not Make It Onto List Of Top 10 Asian Countries With Most Sugar Daddies

At this point, we are not surprised that the industry for sugar babies (aka full-time girlfriends or boyfriends) is totally booming.

Remember that Taiwanese fresh grad who said he didn’t want to live without his sugar mummy’s monthly 5-figure allowance after he got dumped?

Or that “full-time girlfriend” in Kuala Lumpur who claimed her entire outfit cost S$150K?

Recently, media company seasia.stats cited a survey done by luxury dating site Seeking.com, previously known as Seeking Arrangement, about the top 10 countries in Asia with the highest number of sugar daddies.

First things first: a sugar daddy typically refers to an older wealthy man who provides gifts and money to younger individuals in exchange for companionship or sexual favours.

Top of the list is India, which reportedly has 338,000 sugar daddies.

Indonesia came in second with 60,250 sugar daddies while Malaysia and Japan were tied for third with 32,500.

Last on the list is Cambodia with 3.5K sugar daddies.

Singapore, however, did not make the cut.

While the dating site never revealed the methodology of the survey, netizens suggest that they had pulled the data based on where their users live.

We can’t help but wonder if this means our population just too small in comparison or maybe, just maybe, Singaporeans are just not into sugar daddy-sugar baby relationships.
