Trauma Code Star Choo Young Woo Unfollows 40 Sexy Influencers On IG After Fans Call Him Out

South Korean actor Choo Young Woo’s popularity has been at all-time high since appearing on hit Netflix medical drama The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call.

In the show, he plays anxiety-ridden doctor Yang Jae-won, whom his mentor Dr Baek (played by Ju Ji-Hoon) nicknames, um, ‘Anus’.

But with the rise in fame comes increased scrutiny.

The 25-year-old actor recently sparked controversy when sharp-eyed netizens noticed he followed female influencers known for posting racy content on social media.

In response, Young Woo quickly did a social media cleanse, unfollowing 40 of these accounts.

The actor defended himself saying he “just likes watching short-form content like Reels and Shorts”.

But wait, watching and following their social media profiles are two different things, right?

Nevertheless, he went on apologise for his actions and added that he will “need to be more careful with [his] words and actions going forward.”

After the initial backlash, some fans defended their idol, arguing that people shouldn’t judge him based on his personal social media activity.

“Young Woo is a grown man. He doesn’t need to apologise for who he follows online,” read a comment.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time Young Woo has been caught in a similar situation.

In 2021, a former fan claimed to have advised Young Woo to unfollow sexy female live streamers.

Young Woo was seen replying, “Thank you for your kind warning”, and then unfollowed around 30 accounts.

We are guessing Young Woo has a type.
