By now, you would have heard (or read) the story of how ex-convict Simon Khung, aka Simonboy, 36, turned his life around to become one of the most popular TikTok influencers in Singapore.
TL;DR, his girlfriend, Chloe, who is known as Simongirl to the public, played a huge part in his success.
According to Simon, Simongirl worked a “very normal job” and drew a “normal salary”, but was willing to stick by him, even when he only had $50 in the bank.
She supported him during the start of his social media career, and even loaned him money to get his clothing brand, Chance, started.
Now that his career has taken off — aside from his clothing brand, he also founded marketing and creator agency, Peace Street Productions — Simon has wasted no time in showing his appreciation towards his very supportive girlfriend.
Yesterday (Nov 20), Simon posted a photo of Simongirl with a gleaming Rolex on her wrist. He wrote: “ When I have (sic) only $50, you were with me. @simongirlllllll ❤️ I made a promise to you before.. When I had nothing and you were there supporting me.. When I have something, you will own half of it. Today we celebrate success together, and half of it.. belongs to you. Let’s reap the harvest together.. ❤️”
Ngl, the sweet (and expensive) gesture, coupled with his cute caption really did make us go ‘aww’.
Simon’s friends and followers were super supportive of the couple, with Mediacorp star Ben Yeo likening their story to a “fairy tale”.
Simon’s other pals were a little more cheeky.
Ah Boy Noah Yap wrote: “Bro remember that time I rescued you from a burning building and gave you CPR?”.
Comedian Mayiduo, on the other hand, penned this similarly playful comment: “Bro remember we met at s11 coffee shop when you only had $46?”.
