Giant Speakers Completely Block Fan’s View Of G.E.M’s Face On Jumbo Screen At M’sia Concert

This story may make you think twice about buying restricted view tickets for a concert.

A fan who attended G.E.M’s I Am Gloria World Tour concert in Malaysia last month (Feb 15) watched most of the concert without actually seeing the Hong Kong singer’s face, no thanks to giant speakers blocking her view of the jumbo screens.

The fan shared her view of the gig, held at the Nasional Bukit Jalil Stadium in Kuala Lumpur, on Instagram with this caption: “POV: you bought tickets with restricted view for a concert”.

She really wasn’t kidding when she said “restricted view”.

Her view of G.E.M’s concert on the stadium’s jumbo screens was almost completely blocked by giant hanging speakers the entire time.

In fact, it was so perfectly angled that the speaker looked like it was deliberately placed there just to cover G.E.M’s face and nothing else.

The fan turned out to not be the only person who suffered from the badly positioned speakers, with many saying that their view of the star’s face was “perfectly” obstructed too.

“Were you at section 131? I experienced the same thing too,” asked a netizen, who received a reply from another fan: “I was at 131 too hahahahaha I was so speechless, I spent so much money on the tickets yet they still blocked me.”

While it’s not confirmed if the OP was sitting in the same section, according to the seating plan, section 131 tickets for G.E.M’s concert cost MY$548 (S$165.50).

Cheapest tickets for the concert were going at at S$98. Now we’re wondering what the view from these seats were like.
