K-pop superstar Jisoo of Blackpink made a brief appearance at Orchard Central on 7 Mar 2025, drawing more than 2,000 enthusiastic fans to the launch of her “AMORTAGE at Far East Malls” pop-up concept store.
Fans Gather Hours in Advance for Eight-Minute Glimpse of K-pop Star
A huge crowd began forming as early as 3pm, with dedicated fans staking out prime viewing spots throughout the mall’s first two levels.
Though originally scheduled to appear between 6:30pm and 9:30pm according to Orchard Central’s Instagram page, the 30-year-old singer arrived earlier than expected at 5:19pm.
The K-pop star waved and blew kisses to her devoted fans, known affectionately as “Sooyas,” as she walked down the snaking queue that stretched throughout the first level.
After interacting with screaming fans who displayed handmade signs, Jisoo signed an Amortage poster and departed by 5:27pm—making her total appearance just eight minutes long.
‘Amortage’ Pop-up Celebrates Jisoo’s Solo Mini Album
The pop-up store celebrates Jisoo’s debut solo mini-album “Amortage,” which was released on 14 Feb. Conceptualized to resemble a cinema with different rooms inspired by Jisoo’s music, the Singapore edition is the first of its kind in the region and will run at Orchard Central from 5 Mar to 6 Apr.
Some fans had the chance to get the coveted Amortage album, priced between $23.90 and $29.90, for free.
Jisoo is part of the four-member South Korean girl group Blackpink, alongside Jennie, Rose and Lisa.
