The identity of the father of Jennifer Tse’s daughter Sara, six, remains one of the biggest mysteries in Hong Kong showbiz.
Jennifer, 43, who is the younger sister of Nicholas Tse, has refused to reveal who her baby daddy is. She also keeps Sara’s face hidden on social media.
Among the men who have been rumoured to be the baby daddy include exes Andy On, British TV producer Sean Lee-Davies, and American actor Jeremy Renner.
There was also talk that he’s Chinese-Canadian and from a well-to-do family in Vancouver. He and Jennifer, who is based in Canada, reportedly met in school and dated for a couple of years.
Just when we thought the hunt for the baby daddy had fizzled, a new clue has emerged.
Earlier this week, Jennifer posted a birthday tribute to Sara, along with several snaps from her celebrations, on Instagram.
“Happy Birthday, baby girl. You are a real-life angel, I am certain of it. Thank you for every single second. I love you more than all the stars in the sky,” she wrote.
Among the photos, sharp-eyed netizens noticed a name tag on Sara that read “Sara Dejaeghere”, leading to speculation about her father’s nationality.
Some netizens suggested that the surname “Dejaeghere” is likely Belgian. Or maybe just of Belgian descent?
There were also pics with Jennifer’s boyfriend, and family photos with celeb dad Patrick Tse, mum, former screen goddess Deborah Lee, and Nic.
