A storm may soon brew in Asian showbiz now that Zhuo Wei, known as “China’s top paparazzo”, has lost his mobile phone.
Fellow paparazzo Ge Siqi revealed the news on Weibo, sharing a screen shot of his text conversation with Zhuo Wei, who admitted the chances of getting his phone back are slim.
In the missing phone is over a year’s worth of files, including thousands of celebrity photos and sensitive information on the entertainment industry.
Though the phone is password protected, they are worried that the contents could be leaked if it lands in the wrong hands.
“From what I know, Teacher Zhuo Wei probably doesn’t have the habit of backing up [his files]. The photos I’ve seen are enough to bring down the heavyweights in the entertainment industry,” wrote Siqi.
He urged anyone who finds the phone to take it to the police station so it can be returned to its rightful owner.
“You must understand that if you pick up Teacher Zhuo Wei’s phone, it’s not just any phone, it’s a mine bomb!” he said.
To give you an idea, some of Zhuo Wei’s biggest exposés include celeb couple Faye Wong and Nicholas Tse’s 2014 reconciliation, Yang Mi and ex-husband Hawick Lau’s divorce, as well as Chinese actor Wen Zhang’s affair with Yao Di when his wife was pregnant with their second child.
So yes, that phone is a Pandora’s box of showbiz secrets.
