Today (January 24), Bomb Battle MY (Bomb Battle) officially launched its second digital interactive gaming experience called Bomb Battle Elite.

Located in Atria Shopping Gallery, PJ, this new flagship store spans over 6,800 sq ft and is set to be the Bomb Battle brand’s largest outlet in Malaysia. Standing at about six times the size of its first location, Bomb Battle Elite can host up to 500 pax at a time.

This comes less than a year after Bomb Battle’s first attraction was opened. At the time of its launch, the Berjaya Times Square outlet was met with positive reception and enjoyed virality on social media.

Combining the concept of escape rooms and paint “bombs”, the first attraction by Bomb Battle MY offered mission-like multiplayer games where participants had to solve interactive puzzles in order to defuse a ticking paint bomb.

Bomb Battle’s signature Paint Bomb Mission where participants who “lose” are blasted with Neon FX effect paint

Keeping in line with this spirit, Bomb Battle Elite is offering four new team-based activities—Paint Bomb Mission, Powder Bomb Mission, The Greatest Lava, and Versus Arena.

According to the brand, these new games feature cutting-edge technologies, such as enhanced Internet of Things (IoT) integration and projection mapping, where irregular surfaces are used for video projection.

New attractions with new features

Whole new interactive missions that test your intellect at Bomb Battle Elite’s Paint Bomb Mission and Powder Bomb Mission

Similar to the Bomb Battle outlet in Berjaya Times Square, participants can find Mission Group’s signature Paint Bomb Mission. It features five new and different interactive missions that require both teamwork and wits, with each mission lasting 15 minutes. If you fail then you will get blasted with vibrant Neon FX effect paint.

Meanwhile, one of its newer attractions called Powder Bomb Mission. Participants have to embark on a 75-minute session with physical challenges featuring five battles. According to its press release, these are designed to push visitors to their limits.

In a way, the concept is similar to the Paint Bomb Mission, but the missions are different. And as the name suggests, those who lose will be blasted with colourful neon powder bombs.

One of Bomb Battle Elite’s newer offerings called The Greatest Lava

Another new mission available at the Atria Shopping Gallery outlet is The Greatest Lava. Drawing inspiration from the childhood game ‘The Floor Is Lava’, players are required to navigate across 500 “lava tiles” while collecting points.

Lastly, the new interactive gaming spot offers Versus Arena, where groups of friends compete head-to-head in a 60-minute friendly face-off. It features various arena-style competitions to determine “the ultimate victors”. The minimum number of players is four, while the maximum is 20.

Using tech to build connections

Speaking on this, Datin Sheehan Tee, the founder of Mission Group Pte. Ltd. said, “We are excited to be back, and even more excited to unveil a bigger and better Bomb Battle Elite today. Our team at Mission Group has worked tirelessly to take immersive game experiences to new heights for Malaysia’s fun enthusiasts.”

“With a larger space and four exciting new game experiences, equipped with advanced technology, we are confident that this attraction will redefine family and group outings to a while new level. We can’t wait to witness how this elevated experience captivates our visitors and becomes a staple activity for Malaysians, bringing people together for unforgettable memories.”

Datin Sheehan, founder of Mission Group Pte. Ltd. at the launch of Bomb Battle Elite

Speaking to Vulcan Post previously, Sheehan shared that the brand’s goal is to promote teamwork, interaction, and a feeling of unity, which are things they believe are often lacking in today’s world as technology can create distance.

For context, Mission Group Pte Ltd., is an interactive concept development and management company founded by Sheehan with her partner Mr Tai Lee Chuen, the Vice President of the Malaysian Association of Theme Park and Family Attraction (MAFTA).

Mission Group Pte. Ltd. is the licensor of Bomb Battle MY, and the Atria Shopping Gallery outlet is their second licensee in Malaysia, the first being the Berjaya Times Square outlet.

Having a deeply rooted professional background in the sectors of gamification and entertainment attractions, Sheehan said that Mission Group’s approach is to go beyond conventional video games.
