At a wedding, one would expect the bride and groom to be the happiest people in the room.
But that didn’t seem to be the case for Mainland Chinese bride, Ash Yuan Yuan, at least according to a clip she recently shared on Xiaohongshu.
From the video, Ash, who’s from Zhejiang based on her profile, was seen cradling her napping one-year-old daughter En Bao, while taking a group photo with her husband, family and friends.
The 29-year-old looked really annoyed, and was murmuring to herself before looking down at En Bao.
When the photographer told everyone to look to the front, Ash then gave an unwilling smile to the camera only to look annoyed again once the picture was taken.
Ash’s husband, who was standing next to her, was totally clueless that his wife was upset.
“Who’s this person who has to put her kid to sleep while wearing a [Vietnamese luxury brand] Joli Poli wedding gown!! Oh, it’s me, it’s me!,” wrote Ash in her caption.
She said she was venting her frustration one second and then had to “act as a ‘loving mother’ the next.
“And the next moment I had to change my expression again for the photo. Only mums can understand this feeling,” she grumbled.
According to Ash, she and her husband got married two years ago and she got pregnant with En Bao two months after that.
As it was during the pandemic, the couple decided to only throw a wedding banquet after their child is older.
“I didn’t want to be pregnant at my own wedding. I also did not want to look fat while walking down the aisle,” she said.
Now, why couldn’t any of the guests help carry her daughter?
