Riying was reportedly undergoing martial arts training for her new historical drama, Fu Shan Hai (赴山海), which also stars Cheng Yi and Gulnazar, when she sustained a cut to her face.

The injury is said to be quite severe, requiring seven stitches.

As a result, Riying had to delay her participation in another upcoming drama.

According to Riying’s agency, the actress’ condition is now stable and she is currently in recovery.

“I am slowly getting better, please don’t worry too much about me,” she added.

Netizens have expressed concern for Riying, with many commenting it must be extremely stressful for an actress to receive stitches to the face.
