Chinese actor Li Yunrui, 28, has been winning fans over with his dreamy lead role in the new drama Blossom.
However, some viewers have a bone to pick with his “ugly” thumbs.
In certain scenes, netizens pointed out how “short, big, and ugly” his thumbs looked up-close.
They also complained that his fingers didn’t match the suave characters he plays on screen.
“Can we add a filter to those things you call hands?” one comment read, while another said, “Your hands look like they belong to a 50 or 60-year-old man.”
One user even called out the director, questioning why nothing was done in post-production.
Well, we don’t think they look that bad, right?
It seems Yunrui caught wind of the online chatter and responded to the criticism during a live stream with fans.
With a heart gesture he deliberately hid his thumbs, joking, “This will prevent my thumbs from being exposed.”
