Chinese Influencer Visits Late HK Actress Yammie Lam’s Grave & Tells Her To Forgive The Men Who Wronged Her

What’s with influencers using the graves of deceased stars for views on social media?

Last month a Hongkong influencer named Bald Bob defiled the tombstone of late Beyond lead singer Wong Ka Kui and posted a video of the heinous act online.

Now, a Chinese influencer has turned the tomb of Hong Kong actress Yammie Lam into a spot to rant his innermost thoughts to the public.

The influencer had shared a video of himself blabbering to Yammie’s tomb at the St Raphael Cemetery in Cheung Sha Wan.

Pointing the camera at the late star’s headstone photo, the influencer first professed his love for the star before using a cloth to wipe her tomb.

“You are the prettiest,” he gushed.

He then went on to tell the star to put her past behind her.

“I hope you can forgive those men who brought you pain, disappointed you and hurt you,” he added.

The ex-TVB actress, known for her performances in dramas The Greed of Man (1992) and Looking Back In Anger (1989), was found dead in her apartment in 2018. Though police did not suspect foul play, Yammie’s cause of death has not been confirmed till date.

In 2013, she claimed in an interview that she was raped by two Hong Kong showbiz “big brothers” two decades earlier.

She said the assault happened in Singapore and that she tried to kill herself several times after the incident.

Though the original video concealed the names of the accused, Hongkong-based media personality Stephen Shiu took it upon himself to expose their identities, claiming that they were actor-director Alan Tang, who died of a heart attack in 2011, and Eric Tsang.

The latter, now 71, quickly released a statement, claiming it was “fake news” and that the clip had been “falsely edited”.

Eric also warned that he would be taking legal action against the creator of the video.
