When it comes to stars and their homes, the motto, it seems, is the more luxurious the better.
There’s Taiwanese star Show Luo’s S$12.9mil penthouse with an indoor putting green and Wu Chun’s 10,000 sq ft Brunei home that has a two-storey waterslide.
Then there’s Chinese stars Huo Siyan and Du Jiang’s sprawling mansion that looks like a luxury resort.
Siyan, 44, recently joined Xiao Hong Shu and in her first video, she gave fans a tour of her new home which she shares with her hubby and their 10-year-old son Du Yuqi, of Dad, Where Are We Going? fame.
The couple decided to purchase a house in the suburbs of Beijing as they want to enjoy a tranquil life away from the city.
The property reportedly covers five acres and the actress shared that she was inspired by the stone corridors of a monastery she visited during her travels, so she incorporated the design into her home.
It’s a posh place, to say the least, with Roman columns, exquisite décor and plenty of outdoor space.
There’s even an expansive yard where their peacocks roam freely.
Netizens were amazed by how massive the house is, not to mention the couple’s unusual choice of pets.
There were comments like “This is a palace”, “This house is so big you’d need to call each other to communicate”, and “Is it the norm for wealthy people to rear peacocks?”
Some also criticised them for showing off their wealth.
“Don’t flaunt your wealth, it might backfire,” advised one netizen, while another said: “I can only say that second and third-tier celebrities are richer than you can imagine.”
