Since when is there a specific age for one to wear mini dresses?
Recently, a clip of Taiwanese pop star Cyndi Wang dancing at her Sugar High 2.0 World Tour has made its rounds on the Internet.
In the clip, the 42-year-old star wears a green mini dress as she performs her 2009 hit song ‘H2H’.
While many fans were impressed by how “well-maintained” Cyndi looks, with some finding it hard to believe that she’s in her 40s, there were netizens with a case of sour grapes.
They found Cyndi’s dress too short, with one asking if Cyndi wasn’t wearing safety shorts as they claimed they could “see her underwear”.
“Who wants to see a 40-plus-year-old’s [underwear]?” said a netizen.
Of course, Cyndi’s fans jumped in to protect their idol.
“She has such a nice figure why can’t she wear mini dresses?” said one fan while another clapped back: “So what if she’s in her 40s, she looks really young”.
We wonder what these haters think is age-appropriate for Cyndi to wear at her concerts then. Sweatpants?
