You know a local organisation definitely has a lot of budget when they can afford to fly a major star in just to perform at their company dinner.
Earlier this week, many netizens suddenly took to Xiaohongshu to share videos of Taiwanese pop star Cyndi Wang performing live in Singapore.
But no, it wasn’t one of her Sugar High 2.0 World Tour concerts.
Turns out, the 42-year-old had secretly arrived in Singapore on Tuesday (Jan 7) just to sing at the annual staff dinner for wellness product company Riway International.
There, Cyndi, who donned a pink tartan mini dress (what would her haters say?!), performed four songs, ‘Honey’, ‘Moonlight’, ‘I’ll Be Fine’ and ‘When you’.
In one of the videos, Cyndi was also seen pointing to the audience who were holding up signs for her.
Cyndi has also spoken about her surprise visit, saying she’s “really happy to have specially flown over to Singapore”.
“The boss [of Riway International] repeatedly reminded us to keep this a secret. So nobody realised I came to Singapore,” she laughed.
Now we can’t help but wonder, is Riway International’s boss a hardcore Cyndi Wang fan?
