Eason Chan’s Hospital Meals Were Prepared By A Michelin-Starred Chef

Hong Kong singer Eason Chan, who suffered a fractured cheekbone when he fainted from heatstroke while playing tennis last month, is in good spirits and recovering well.

The 49-year-old injured himself when he collapsed on the ground, resulting in a deep wound that required more than 30 stitches.

Doctors estimate that Eason will take six weeks to fully recover and his Chongqing and Foshan concerts, originally scheduled for June and July respectively, have been postponed to January 2025.

According to Eason’s manager Lisa Kan, the stitches have been removed and the singer has been discharged from hospital.

Though he can’t talk much, he is doing well mentally and physically.

He can only consume liquid and soft foods such as porridge, eggs, and minced meat, to allow the cheekbone to rest and heal naturally.

Turns out Eason got quite the star treatment when he was hospitalised.

During his stay, his meals were prepared by Hong Kong Michelin-starred chef Vicky Cheng and his team.

Earlier this week, Eason’s wife, influencer Hilary Tsui, took to Instagram Stories to thank the team for specially preparing soup for the singer when he had difficulty eating, as well as their thoughtful care.

Vicky, 38, is the founder and chef of Michelin-starred fine-dining restaurants VEA and Wing, both located in Central.

One of Hong Kong’s most popular dining establishments, Wing was ranked 5th in Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2024 and 20th in the World’s 50 Best Restaurants in 2024. The restaurant only accepts online reservations, with two menu options priced at HK$1,980 (S$341) and HK$2,980 (S$513).
