Elderly Men Spotted Moving Like Zombies In A Park Known As The “Zombie Training Ground”

A Chinese netizen was recently at the Hangzhou Botanical Garden when he saw a couple of elderly men moving rather oddly.

In the video he shared, the two men were seen a few metres apart from each other, each standing under a tree for shade.

They were rotating their heads and swaying their bodies haphazardly, their arms flailing around their sides. It was as if they’d let their whole body go limp before shaking it in slow-mo.

“They looked super relaxed at this moment. The Botanical Garden is also known as a zombie training ground. After returning home and watching the video, I really regretted not joining them in their swaying,” quipped the netizen.

Yes, no doubt the men’s movements genuinely resembled that of the zombies straight out of a movie or game about the undead, and the more we watched them, the more comical the whole scene looked.

But no, they weren’t auditioning for the next zombie movie.

In case anyone’s confused, they were exercising. Tai Chi who?

Other netizens were equally tickled by the sight, with many saying they would join in if they could.

“I used to think it was funny when I saw old people walking and clapping at the same time, or when they randomly slapped their thighs, but this is really hilarious on the next level,” wrote a commenter.

Others also wondered if what the elderly men were doing “really feels as good as it looks”.

Well, there’s only one way to find out.
