Ella Chen Admits To Faking Orgasms So Her Partner Won’t “Feel Like His Efforts Were In Vain”

Taiwanese star Ella Chen, 41, has a reputation for being a straight talker, so when sharing about her new drama which centres around sex (or rather the lack of it), it’s almost a given that things would get a little TMI.

In upcoming Taiwanese series Us Without Sex, the S.H.E member and Taiwanese actor Tony Yang star as a married couple struggling with their sex life. with the wife eventually seeking help from a sex therapist played by Cheryl Yang.

No such problems for Ella in real life, who declared during the drama’s recent press conference: “I’ve had so many orgasms in my life that I’ve lost count.”

The ever-candid singer went on to add that since sex is sweaty and tiring, she makes sure to enjoy herself, though there were times in the past where she would fake orgasms.

“It’s a way of being considerate. I didn’t want the other party to feel like his efforts were in vain,” she explained.

“Now, I don’t need to fake it — if it happens, it happens. If it doesn’t, it doesn’t. My partner understands.”

Though Ella has several daring sex scenes in the show, her husband, Malaysian businessman Alvin Lai, did not have issues with them.

When asked if she would try any of the moves with him, Ella quipped: “I have my preferred positions, so why follow others?”

She added that when she and her husband “feel like it”, they would have a quickie. They can take their time if their seven-year-old son Daniel isn’t around, but even if it’s just five minutes, it’s fine.

“As long as husband and wife are happy, that’s all that matters,” she said.
