An EVA air flight attendant has come under fire for sharing snaps of items used by Blackpink’s Jisoo during a recent flight.
Jisoo, 30, was headed to Taipei for a fan meet last weekend, and the flight attendant, a fangirl, recognised her on board.
Clearly thrilled by her encounter with the K-pop star, the flight attendant took to social media to gush about it.
“This is the highlight of my career. She’s a goddess who has descended on earth, I can’t believe it. Blackpink was really in my area, #jisoo,” she wrote on X.
While the initial excitement seemed harmless enough, things quickly took a turn when the stewardess decided to share more than just her admiration.
She posted a video showing Jisoo’s business class seat and personal items the singer had left behind such as used tissues, a mask, sweet wrappers, and slippers.
“Maybe the mask smells fragrant (I didn’t actually smell it) (I’m losing my mind). Everyone please calm down, the beauty only ate fruits and drank water. She also had with her a Hello Kitty pillow, eye mask, and a huge cushion,” she said.
Her post quickly went viral, sparking outrage among Blackpink fans who criticised her actions as “invasive” and “unprofessional”.
“That’s so perverted. Filming Jisoo’s used mask and slippers and saying it might smell nice?!” commented one netizen.
Another wrote: “That’s really scary. Why can’t she respect Jisoo’s privacy and be more professional about her job?”
Some even called for her dismissal, arguing that her behaviour was unacceptable.
Following the backlash, the flight attendant removed the posts and deactivated all her social media accounts.
EVA Air has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident.
