If you’ve been anywhere on TikTok recently, you’ve probably come across the “we listen and we don’t judge” TikTok trend. If you haven’t, fret not — Goody Feed’s got your back.
Here’s what this newest TikTok trend is all about.
The “We Listen and We Don’t Judge” TikTok Trend
A while ago, we had the “suspect challenge” TikTok trend. Now, we have the “we listen and we don’t judge” TikTok trend. With all these trends constantly springing up, it’s difficult to keep track of which is which, unless you’re scrolling TikTok frequently.
So, we’re here to give you a TLDR of what the newest “we listen and we don’t judge” TikTok trend is all about.
The trend usually involves two people in the video. The two people will sit next to each other and start the video off by saying in unison: “We listen and we don’t judge”.
Next, one person will share a confession — this confession could be about anything, from personal secrets, to things they’ve done to the other person without the other person’s knowledge.
The confessions are usually something unexpected lah. That’s why the trend is called “we listen and we don’t judge” — the listener is supposed to avoid judging the person who just shared a confession, no matter how surprising the confession may be.
But as you would expect, you would often see the listener reacting with their facial expressions lah.
After the first person shares their confession, the two will once again say the phrase “we listen and we don’t judge” in unison, before the initial listener shares their confession instead.
That’s all there is to the trend, but TikTok users have found it to be a hilarious way of sharing certain things they’ve never shared with others.
Singaporeans Try Out the “We Listen and We Don’t Judge” Trend

For one, Hoon Sun Sports Club, a local sports club doing lion and dragon dance, uploaded a TikTok with two of its lion dancers trying out the trend. In the video, the lion dancer who carries the lion head admitted to farting in the face of the lion dancer who carries the lion tail.

Radio DJ Joakim Gomez from 987FM also tried out the trend with local singer Benjamin Kheng. In the TikTok, Benjamin Kheng shared that for around three years, he would tell others that Joakim’s name was pronounced “Wakim Homez”.

Four nurses from Tan Tock Seng Hospital tried out the trend as well, posting a TikTok where one of the nurses shared about how she once had a patient with only one shoe instead of a pair of shoes. She asked the patient where the other shoe was, before finding out that the patient was actually crippled.
