Sora Ma is going to be a mum.
The 39-year-old Malaysian actress married Singaporean businessman, who’s known only as Mr R, in 2022.
On the first day of Chinese New Year (Feb 10), Sora took to Instagram to share the good news with everyone.
In her video, the ex-Mediacorp star was relaying CNY greetings to her followers when her cat Lucky Zai came into frame and ‘told’ her to “go straight to the point”.
“Now?” Sora asked Lucky.
“How long more do you think you can hide it?,” Lucky ‘replied’.
Sora then held up an orange, turned it around to show a picture of an ultrasound scan that’s attached to the fruit.
“Okay, I’ll take this time to tell everyone, I’m becoming a mum,” said Sora.
In her caption, Sora wrote: “First day of the Chinese New Year, I can’t hide it anymore and couldn’t wait to share this news with everyone: I’m going to be a mum! Hopefully in the year of the dragon, my baby can be healthy and grow up well.”
Sora, who became a certified Pilates instructor last year, also told Chinese media Lianhe Zaobao that she is more than three months pregnant and her baby is due in August.
A few days later, Sora took to Instagram again to share a clip of her baby’s ultrasound.
“Hello gor gor, jie jie, auntie, uncle, this is me, today. Doctor said I’m growing well. Feeling the love! Thank you all for the warm wishes and sweet greetings. Mummy Ma and I are grateful for your kindness,” she wrote.
