On Christmas Day, former TVB actress Bonnie Chan, 34, shared on her socials that she had given birth to twin boys, nicknamed Ocean and Sun, in September.
This came as a surprise to many as she had only announced that she was expecting two weeks ago.
Sharing snaps of the boys’ feet and faces partially covered with a blue heart emoji, Bonnie reflected on her pregnancy journey, describing it as “one of the toughest yet most rewarding journeys of [her] life”.
“The first four months were a whirlwind of intense nausea and extreme sensitivity to smells — I practically lived on crackers, cold toast, and fruit, confined to my bedroom. Even water felt like a challenge some days,” she wrote.
Nearing the late stages of pregnancy, even “rolling over in bed felt like a workout” and “back pain became a daily struggle.”
However, seeing her twin sons born made all the hardships worthwhile.
She finds joy and cherishes every moment as a “boy mom” and expressed excitement about what the future holds.
Bonnie got her start in showbiz after finishing third in the 2016 Miss Hong Kong pageant.
Besides hosting, she also in TVB dramas such as Heart and Greed 3 (2017) and I Bet Your Pardon (2019).
Since leaving TVB in 2020 to launch her yoga business, Bonnie has maintained a low profile and rarely shares her personal life.
In 2021, she married Singaporean billionaire heir and DJ-music producer Kuok Meng Jun, better known as MJ Kuok.
The 35-year-old is the grandson of Malaysia’s richest man and “Sugar King of Asia,” Robert Kuok.
You might also remember MJ from the third season of Singapore Idol. He made it to the finals but dropped out of the reality singing competition to finish his studies at Stanford University.
